“Great motel with a great location”

We have been coming to this motel for the past seven years. We love the location, only a short walk to boardwalk and beach. The continental breakfast is great, we have small children so it is real nice to just open our door and have breakfast on the patio. My kids love the heated pool after a day at the beach. The owner and staff is very accommodating and available in case you need something. The patio with tables and umbrellas come in handy if you want to have take out. I enjoying reading my books on the lounge chairs on the patio. All in all, for all the services and location of this motel, it is really a great value.

This coming August will be the 12th or 13th year my son and I have stayed at Amethysts now. My son is now 18 and still wants to go with his mom to the motel. Sometimes my husband comes along. Other times I bring friends with children. No matter who I bring they are impressed with the motel, staff, and ownership of this family run motel. Love the proximity to the beach and boardwalk. Great heated pool. Continental breakfast is wonderful way to start a relaxing day. Amethyst staff is always making sure rooms are clean. Pool and pool area are always spotless. Amethysts' owners are on site everyday making sure their guests are well taken care of and have a great memory as to what returning guests prefer. It is nice to be remembered that way.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at the Amethyst Beach Motel. The apartment was clean and large enough to accommodate our family. We especially liked the fact that it was only a block from the boardwalk and the beach. The children enjoyed the pool. The people who own and run the establishment were very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to stay in Point Pleasant. Oh, I almost forgot to mention how close this motel is to Six Flags. Our family loves to go there every time we visit N.J.

husband and i have been going to the Amethyst beach motel for over 15 years, we
go every year and sometimes twice in the same year. It's like "going Home' year
after year familiar faces who have become friends. We have the best time and
bring friends every year who also keep going back. The pool ROCKS!

“GREAT TIME IN JERSEY SHORE”

I have stayed several times in the past 2 years and in fact have a reservation for this summer for at least one week. The rooms are always spotless and plenty of towels. They have cable and wireless service for your laptops. It is one block from the boardwalk which is a great convenience because parking spots at the shore are not that easy to find. They have a parking lot for their guests also. It is a family run business and you are treated like family there. The pool is also a convenience too if you are like me and not to crazy about going in the ocean. My teenage boys love it there also.

This was my family's 1st visit at the Amethyst's Beach Motel. I could not be
more pleased with the motels helpful and pleasant staff, nice clean rooms,
awesome pool area, continental breakfasts, and unbeatable location.

My husband and I have three children, two full time jobs and absolutely no time to ourselves. Amethyst Beach Motel is our little piece of heaven. We actually are able to re-gain our sanity when we stay here. The staff is remarkable and helpful with every little detail. We had everything we needed at our finger tips here. My oldest daughter learned how to swim in the beautiful pool. My children hate to leave. We all find it very relaxing-extremely family oriented and just plain enjoyable. As a mom I strongly recommend this motel to any one with kids who is looking for the most convenient and stress free place to stay.

“Good Location” Aug 16, 2010 The staff at this motel are very friendly and accomodating. This was our first time staying at this motel. We arrived very early on our check in date and the girl said our room was available and let us check in. Not many motels do this for you. So we had 2 full day in our room. I would definitely go back and stay here again. They give you breakfast and the pool was very clean. The rooms were fine, not updated; but clean and fine for a shore motel. Very close to the beach/boardwalk. |

“Great location” Aug 9, 2010 We just got back from our short vacation on Friday and I can not tell you enough how nice this motel turned out to be. Yes, you do have to pay $10 for parking, but if you find a spot on the street you can avoid this fee. We chose to pay to stay in the lot. We were there four days and the location is so great, that we didn't have to move our car once. We had a slight problem when we first arrived, as I had requested a room on the first floor as my husband has a medical issue which makes it difficult for him to climb stairs. We were told there was no rooms available and that our room would be on the second floor. I was annoyed but willing to take the room, when Ashley, who is a relative of the owner, came in and showed us a room on the first floor, which was a much larger room than requested, it was actually an efficiencey, gave us the room for the same price. I can not thank her enough. She went above and beyond, as well as Valerie and Michael the breakfast chef. They made our stay really enjoyable. The rooms and pool are kept very clean. Shout outs go to the cleaning crew who work incredibly hard to keep the place looking great. They also have plenty of bbq grills and tables and chairs around the other side of the pool which were not being utilized. Next time I come with family, I would definintly use these. Because it was only the two of us, we ate out every nite. Great clams, oysters and lobster near by. We ended out staying an extra nite and we were given another room at the same price, as the efficiency we stayed in was booked. I cannot thank all the staff enough for making this enjoyable time. The only suggestions from me, turn the grill area into a tiki bar, I think that would go over great and wouldn't interfere with the pool area, and add home fries to the breakfast menu......us New Yorker's like our homefries. We will be returning to this motel again in the future and I will be recommending this place to friends as well. Any questions, please contact me.

quaint family run and family
friendly place. It is located a
block from the beach, it is
maybe a 5 minute stroll if you
take your time. Make sure you
get your beach pass at the front
desk before heading to the beach
to save a few dollars. Parking
is tight in the area around the
motel, but they always seem to
have a spot for their guests.

They added a patio with tables and barbecues. It's makes it easier for planning meals when you can cook instead of eating at the boardwalk. Alot of my family members and friends come down and stay. Our family has been staying there every year for many years. My grandchildren love the huge pool which is located right outside the rooms. Pool is well maintained and clean. The buffet breakfast is great and there is plenty of food...eating there poolside is so convenient and saves time in the morning when the kids are anxious to get to the beach. Some rooms have been recently renovated. All in all, a great place for families. |

This motel is very family friendly and makes the kids happy to go. It is clean and if there are any problems they are right there to help you. The kids are excited to go every summer. “A traditional trip we'll grow old with” April 9, 2010 challenge you to find a harder working or more helpful staff than Theresa and her crew at the Amethyst. There is ALWAYS someone buzzing around...whether it be cleaning the pool or the rooms, jockeying vehicles for optimum parking or setting up the delicious continental breakfast each day. The location is only a quick walk to the beach/boardwalk , train or shopping . The rooms are very clean and comfortable complete w microwaves and refrigerators,cable and some offer flat screen T.V.s. There are plenty of lounge chairs at the pool and patio with a barbecue for grilling. Honestly, I really can't say a bad thing about our experience here. We skipped last year only because we had a newborn , but we are counting the days until our next trip in August this year. |

"A true gem in the Jersey Shore!” Jul 19, 2009 July marked our second stay at the Amethyst Beach Motel and we couldn't have been more pleased. After being disappointed at a different hotel last year, we decided to return to the Amethyst, were we had first stayed back in 2007. We enjoyed everything from the attentive staff to the more than convenient location and pool side leisure. The location being a walking distance from the beach and the board walk was a breeze. Being a family of 5, we were very well accommodated and greatly enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere. Being a family run hotel gives it that warm, at home kind of touch that you can't feel with just any given vacancy. “Beautiful Stay at a Beautiful Place” May 20, 2009 Recently stayed at the Amethyst Beach Motel for a business trip. The room was beautiful and even had a flat-screen television with digital cable. There was also a fridge and a microwave in the room for us to use. It was a very clean room with a king sized bed and plenty of towels for the bathroom. Jenkinson's Boardwalk was within walking distance and downtown Point Pleasant was just down the road. It's a great location with a friendly staff and a huge pool for guests. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again! |

Hotel!" This is a very nice hotel. Although not on the ocean, you can see the boardwalk from your room. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The rooms are clean, good-sized, and well-maintained. Our room had an HDTV, which was a definite bonus! The hotel also has a nice-sized pool in the center courtyard, if you chose to just hang out at the hotel for the day. The daily continental breakfast was also a plus. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times before, and recommend it to family and friends whenever asked about a nice reasonably-priced place to stay at the shore.

Even though we made our reservation on line through their website for an economy room with standard check out time, the front desk person gave us a late checkout the following day which was great because we had an opportunity to do some christmas shopping in town and enjoy coffee at Green Planet Coffee. They also upgraded us to a room with 32"plasma tv which we would have been willing to pay extra for. Look forward to staying there again

Stay" We just returned from a two night stay. Overall, this was not a bad place. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. We had a view of the boardwalk from our room. The heated pool was good for a swim after the beach. There were plenty of chairs around the pool. The location was very convenient. It was about a 1.5-2 block walk to the beach/boardwalk. They did charge us $10 per day to park but if you stay somewhere that you have to drive to the beach, you will end up paying more. The continental breakfast in the morning was very nice to have. There were plenty of bagels, donuts, muffins, coffee/tea and juice. This made it easy since we didn't have to go out looking for a place to eat in the morning. There was some confusion before I left regarding our stay, number of days and arrival but they went out of their way to make it right. Unfortunately, my son got an ear infection during our stay and we ended up cutting it short by one day and they were very understanding. Next time I would just confirm my reservation a few days before I leave. When we pulled up to the motel (and it is a motel, not hotel), I saw two women leaving and I asked them how it was and they said they have been going there for 18 years. I think that says alot about a place. We will definitely visit Point Pleasant again and we will stay at the Amethyst

Motel" booked my vacation sight unseen, and took a chance. This was the first time my friends and I were taking all of the kids to the beach. I could not have been more pleased with this hotel. My fondest memories of my childhood were vacations at the beach, and now my child can have the same memories. The room was clean and nice, the facilities were great, but the most impressive part of the week was the staff. This really is a family oriented hotel. They were all so wonderful and went out of their way to make all of us feel at home. I can not wait until next summer, I will be booking two 4 day vacations there next summer, and be returning every year for a long time. |

Motel: "Best Hotel in Town!" May 7, 2006: Dutchess County, NY HI..Every year my
girlfriend and I re-visit this
hotel..We love the hospitality,
the location (can walk to beach
if wanted), and feel very safe
here. We have been going since
year 2002 ...and we will
continue to stay at this Lovely
Beach Hotel for years to come.

comes to hospitality the folks
at the Amethyst Beach Hotel are
truly gracious. Theresa and
everyone who assists in making
your stay enjoyable are ahead of
the class when it comes to
accommodating your every need.
I’ve stayed there on several
occasions in the off season and
during their busiest time –
Memorial Day weekend, and the
service I received was top
notch. The rooms are clean,
spacious and fully accessible to
anyone, even those with special
needs. I’m looking forward to a
much need vacation this summer
and if it wasn’t for Theresa’s
patience and her willingness to
help me find the right vacation
package I would be lost. From
all of us in Bangor, PA I would
surely recommend the Amethyst
Beach Hotel as your one stop,
family fun place to stay. Being
a relocated NJ Girl I truly miss
the southern NJ atmosphere and
the peacefulness of the beach.

"Great place to stay" Apr 12, 2006 My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the amethyst Beach Motel. We had a great second floor room with a overlooking the park lake and boardwalk. The service was great, the location was perfect - just 5 mins walk to the beach. The bed was comfy and the pool and patio are perfect. We will return in July to Point Pleasant Beach and we will be staying at the Amethyst. |

We are a family of three and found the Amethyst rooms immaculate as well as the patio and pool. Although the weather wasn’t the greatest management had the pool almost as warm as a hot tub and their main lobby area set up for rainy day movies on a plasma screen with full theatre sound. If that wasn’t enough they also provide us with free internet access, personal pizza’s and Hot Dogs. This was real Jersey Shore experience which we will return for again. We took some pictures which we have posted and encourage anyone seeking the coolest place in town to stay at Amethyst |

Nov 28, 2005: My entire
family, friends, and even
co-workers all stayed at the
Beach Motel the weekend of
October 2, 2005 to celebrate my
wedding. We must have had rented
about 30 rooms total. Not one
person had a complaint. We
started booking rooms during
their high season, the summer of
2005.Even though they were
swamped, they always made time
to help us, and were friendly.
When the time came, and we
arrived, there were no mistakes
(amazingly) and everything went
smoothly. And we were high
maintenance. The staff even
helped unload the car. They
happily helped with extra's such
as giving out gift bags. We
brought some extra food to add
to their continental breakfast
(which was perfectly
satisfactory all on its own).
They stored everything for us,
and laid out their regular
breakfast, as well as all out
extras each morning, always with
a smile. And we were messy, too.
Some of us even ended up in
their very clean heated pool,
which was still open.
