“Love this warm place” Mar 19, 2008 melen1 This place is a gem. After
checking out of a horrible motel
in seaside 24 hours after check
in, I drove over to PPB in hopes
of saving a vacation gone wrong.
I was greeted with smiles and
accommodated last minute with a
great room for me and my family.
Clean, warm and friendly, great
location and most of all a great
bang for your buck. |

"We Love the Amethyst Beach
Motel" This was
our 2nd stay at the Amethyst
this season. We had a "Girl's
Week" in August, then returned
for a "Family Weekend" away in
September. The September weekend
was wonderful. 4 Generations of
our Family came together at the
Amethyst to enjoy the Beach,
Boardwalk, Seafood Festival and
we all drove down to Seaside
Heights for the Clown Festival
for the same weekend. All these
events were within walking
distance from the motel (except
the ClownFest). |
|
"Great Location" Sep 4, 2007 my
8 year old daughter and i stayed
for one night as we had planned
a new york trip but having grown
up in new jersey and living in
tennessee for close to 25 years
i wanted to show her where i
spent my summers. |

"NIce, Clean & Convenient" |

"Paridise at Point Pleasant"
This was our 4th time at the
Amethyst and once again our room
was clean and beautiful. We
enjoyed the complimentary
bagels, coffee, and lovely
patio. We recommend this hotel
very highy and can hardly wait
to stay there again.
|
|
"Our 2 night stay." We booked
our stay knowing how close the
walk was to the beach and the
amusements. I would highly
recommend the Amethyst Beach
Motel to any family with
children. The rooms are clean
and all seem to be poolside. The
staff is friendly and kind.
There is a parking lot behind
the motel that was safe and
secure. The beach is only a
block and a half to the beach
and amusement area. I wish we
had planned more than a two-day
stay. We will be back next
summer.

Great time at the Amethyst!" We
just returned from our stay at
the Amethyst and I felt
compelled to share my thoughts
on our stay. Let me start by
saying we booked our reservation
before reading the other reviews
on this website, and if we would
have found this website first, I
don't know if we would have
decided to stay at the Amethyst
given some of the negative
comments I read here. I was a
little worried about what we
would find at the Amethyst
because of the mixed reviews,
but I was quite pleased with our
stay. |

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst Beach Motel: "Friendly and Clean! we will be back!" New York Aug 8, 2007
Having stayed here 3 years ago,
I chose to stay again, this time
with my two children, and my
sister and her children. We had
adjoining rooms on the second
level overlooking the pool in
the courtyard.

Amethyst Beach Motel:
"Location, Location, Location"
Thanks to all the staff everyone
is very pleasant. and just as
accommodating if not more than
the bigger chains. Easy walk to
beach and boardwalk. Other
guests are also friendly had
some good laughs. Rooms are
comfy and clean. NICE heated
pool and the continental
breakfast is a plus. We're
planning another stay before
this season is over.

Beach Motel: "Loved the
hotel." Loved the amethyst beach motel. It's very close to the beach and restaurants. Theresa was very accommodating. She upgraded our room to an apt. because there were four of us. I had my bachelorette here last year in July so because we liked it so much, we decided to have a reunion with less girls. |

Point Pleasant Beach:
Amethyst
Beach Motel: "Theresa was
very helpful. Great customer
service!" Theresa was very helpful and made our stay terrific despite tenuous weather. Her customer service was really great since it was so tough to organize a weekend get together. Everyone's schedules are too different to organize a week. For a motel, the accommodations were great - clean, staff were very helpful, and Theresa certainly went out of her way. When guests are treated this way - we can't help but to come back again. |

Amethyst
Beach Motel: "can't wait
for our next stay." This is a great place. a very short walk to the beach/boardwalk. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool is really clean and is open late. Continental breakfast is served poolside every morning. Plenty of lounge chairs too. My son and i stayed here for a week and honestly, weren't really expecting much, having stayed at other motels down the shore. It’s just far enough back from the boardwalk to avoid all the noise. we were pleasantly surprised. We would absolutely stay here again. |

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst Beach Motel: "We loved the Amethyst as Always" New York Jul 26, 2007
My family and I stay at the
Amethyst Beach Motel every year
and every year our vacation gets
better and better. The patio is
full of lounge chairs and
private with a heated in ground
pool that was kept immaculate.
Our room as always clean and
comfortable. The Staff was
friendly and warm, as always
,making us feel like family.
They were so informative and
recommended the best
restaurants!!!

Amethyst
Beach Motel: "Great Beach
Hotel!" This is a very nice hotel. Although not on the ocean, you can see the boardwalk from your room. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The rooms are clean, good-sized, and well-maintained. Our room had an HDTV, which was a definite bonus! The hotel also has a nice-sized pool in the center courtyard, if you chose to just hang out at the hotel for the day. The daily continental breakfast was also a plus. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times before, and recommend it to family and friends whenever asked about a nice reasonably-priced place to stay at the shore.

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst Beach Motel: "Holiday Spirit at Beach Motel", North Jersey Dec 19, 2006 Stayed at the Beach Motel after our Christmas party. Even though we made our reservation on line through their website for an economy room with standard check out time, the front desk person gave us a late checkout the following day which was great because we had an opportunity to do some christmas shopping in town and enjoy coffee at Green Planet Coffee. They also upgraded us to a room with 32"plasma tv which we would have been willing to pay extra for. Look forward to staying there again

Amethyst Beach Motel: "Nice Place will return again" Manchester NH Nov 29, 2006
This is my 2nd attempt at a
review I hope it gets posted.
Amethyst was great, the price
was right the location was close
to the boardwalk and walking
distance from town. After being
disappointed at our original
choice of a motel in Point, we
were very pleased with the room
and the service.

Amethyst Beach Motel:
"Amethyst is great!"
My
friends and I stayed at the
Amethyst for a Mom's weekend
away! We were disappointed with
the weather, but Theresa, the
owner, went out of her way to
help make our stay more
enjoyable! She was friendly,
courteous, and very helpful to
us. She made helpful suggestions
to us on how to spend our rainy
day! despite the weather, we
enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are
in the process of being updated
in the off season, honestly they
need it, but the Motel is aware
of this and is working towards
improvements in the Decor and
amenities! The location is great
and the clientele is very family
oriented, not a bit of trouble
with loud or unruly guests!
would definitely go back! |

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst
Beach Motel: "loved staying
there" Worth every penny, it is a great place for families. It is clean, short walk to the boardwalk, and the stuff is friendly. This was my first stay there and I will definitely go back

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst
Beach Motel: "Good Place to
Stay" We just returned from a two night stay. Overall, this was not a bad place. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. We had a view of the boardwalk from our room. The heated pool was good for a swim after the beach. There were plenty of chairs around the pool. The location was very convenient. It was about a 1.5-2 block walk to the beach/boardwalk. They did charge us $10 per day to park but if you stay somewhere that you have to drive to the beach, you will end up paying more. The continental breakfast in the morning was very nice to have. There were plenty of bagels, donuts, muffins, coffee/tea and juice. This made it easy since we didn't have to go out looking for a place to eat in the morning. There was some confusion before I left regarding our stay, number of days and arrival but they went out of their way to make it right. Unfortunately, my son got an ear infection during our stay and we ended up cutting it short by one day and they were very understanding. Next time I would just confirm my reservation a few days before I leave. When we pulled up to the motel (and it is a motel, not hotel), I saw two women leaving and I asked them how it was and they said they have been going there for 18 years. I think that says alot about a place. We will definitely visit Point Pleasant again and we will stay at the Amethyst

Face
it....when you pick a
motel/hotel over the internet
for a location you've never been
to...it's a crapshoot. Imagine
my surprise when we got to the
Amethyst in Point Pleasant! What
a great location! What a great
little place (make your
reservations early!). It is appr
2 blks from the boardwalk (my 7
& 9 year olds were in heaven)
and the ocean! The entire 2 blk
walk consists of parking for the
boardwalk/ocean that other
people had to pay for! |

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst Beach Motel: Aug 2, 2006: New York "Love the amethyst" I was at the Amethyst in July with my family (my husband and three children). We’ve been staying there for the past three years. It’s very close to the beach and a very family oriented place. We love the management there they are like family. We have met so many great people there. Our friends with there children have been coming w/us also for 3 yrs. we all will definitely return next year!!! |

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst Beach Motel: "Great Motel" Jul 28, 2006, Scranton.pa I thought the Amethyst beach motel was great, family oriented, friendly and accessible to all major attractions, I do recommend this motel if you like convenience. Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst
Beach Motel: "Wonderful Family
Experience at the Amethyst Beach
Motel" booked my vacation sight unseen, and took a chance. This was the first time my friends and I were taking all of the kids to the beach. I could not have been more pleased with this hotel. My fondest memories of my childhood were vacations at the beach, and now my child can have the same memories. The room was clean and nice, the facilities were great, but the most impressive part of the week was the staff. This really is a family oriented hotel. They were all so wonderful and went out of their way to make all of us feel at home. I can not wait until next summer, I will be booking two 4 day vacations there next summer, and be returning every year for a long time. |

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst
Beach Motel: "great family
vacation"
We
have just returned from our
family 3 day vacation at the
amethyst motel at point pleasant
and we had a really nice time.
We went with four kids and they
really loved it. We had rooms
downstairs near the pool and
patio area and the kids felt
free to come and go in and out
of the rooms and back in the
pool . The fridge and microwave
came in handy. we had connecting
rooms with my sister and her
family and our parents came too.
the motel is very well run and
the staff is super friendly and
accommodating. every morning we
had fun eating the free
continental breakfast of donuts
and bagels. The coffee pot was
on all day long. the best part
was the short walk to the
boardwalk and beach. I will
recommend this motel for anyone
especially with kids. |

Point Pleasant Beach: Amethyst
Beach Motel: "Wonderful
experience!!!!!!!" Our
experience at the Amethyst Beach
Motel was well worth the rate
charged. We enjoyed the large
rooms and the clean, newly
remodeled tiled showers. We
enjoyed clean crisp sheets upon
our arrival and our rooms were
cleaned daily. Fresh bathroom
linen was received daily. We did
need a washcloth one day, but
they quickly retrieved one for
us when we asked, hastle free.

the Jersey shore and we enjoyed
our stay so much we extended it
an extra day.

Beach: Amethyst Beach Motel:
"Love this Motel" May 11, 2006 cah6866@optonline.net, Wharton, NJ I love this Motel.
It's a block from the Beach and
the Board Walk with the
Amusements. The Motel is always
clean and the people are always
friendly. This is my 12th summer
going to the same motel. If's
it's a little chilly, they have
a heated in the ground pool that
the kids love to swim in. Most
of the rooms have 2 double beds
and a Microwave and mini
Refrigerator in them. We always
stayed in one of these rooms.
Now we stay in a room that has a
small efficiency in it. |

Beach: Amethyst Beach Motel:
"Hospitality at it's best!" May 4, 2006 When it
comes to hospitality the folks
at the Amethyst Beach Hotel are
truly gracious. Theresa and
everyone who assists in making
your stay enjoyable are ahead of
the class when it comes to
accommodating your every need.
I’ve stayed there on several
occasions in the off season and
during their busiest time –
Memorial Day weekend, and the
service I received was top
notch. The rooms are clean,
spacious and fully accessible to
anyone, even those with special
needs. I’m looking forward to a
much need vacation this summer
and if it wasn’t for Theresa’s
patience and her willingness to
help me find the right vacation
package I would be lost. From
all of us in Bangor, PA I would
surely recommend the Amethyst
Beach Hotel as your one stop,
family fun place to stay. Being
a relocated NJ Girl I truly miss
the southern NJ atmosphere and
the peacefulness of the beach.
Enjoy! |

We are a family of three and found the Amethyst rooms immaculate as well as the patio and pool. Although the weather wasn’t the greatest management had the pool almost as warm as a hot tub and their main lobby area set up for rainy day movies on a plasma screen with full theatre sound. If that wasn’t enough they also provide us with free internet access, personal pizza’s and Hot Dogs. This was real Jersey Shore experience which we will return for again. We took some pictures which we have posted and encourage anyone seeking the coolest place in town to stay at Amethyst |
